Parent Involvement

Parent Teacher Fellowship

Brooklake Christian School PTF was established to assist in the furthering of the interests of the school, promoting fellowship among the parents and teachers, and assisting at social and other school functions as needed. All parents, guardians, and teachers are members of PTF.

Each year PTF sponsors events such as Bedtime Story Night, Christmas Store, skate nights, Teacher Appreciation Week, Read and Lead, and Field Day Barbecue. PTF serves the school by coordinating Moms in Touch, the annual book fair, and the annual used uniform sale. PTF also coordinates our Mentor Program which matches new families with returning families.

Room Parents

During the year, room parents support the teacher by coordinating parties, special events, and other classroom activities. Parents may sign up at Meet the Teacher Day or Back to School Night. Parents may also speak with their student':s teacher.

Service Hours

Each year there are opportunities for parents/guardians to assist in classroom and all-school activities. These activities include Meet the Teacher Day, Back to School Night, and Field Day. It is expected that parents/guardians will contribute a specified number of hours each year. Service hour requirements are fifteen (15) hours for grades K-6, ten (10) hours for single parent families. Requirements for preschool families are eight (8) hours for preschool and prekindergarten, five (5) hours for single parent families. Parental involvement is an important part of every student's educational experience.

Families that may be unable to complete the required service hours shall contribute $10.00 for each incomplete service hour. Please contact your student's teacher or the school office for opportunities to fulfill the service hours requirement.
